University Timetable Maker
Quick Timetable is a smart University Timetable Maker designed to help universities and higher education institutions prepare academic timetables for multiple programmes, departments, semesters, sections, faculty members and practical resources.
The Smart Timetable Management System (STMS) helps organize complex academic scheduling requirements in a simple step-by-step process.
Who Can Use It?
Quick Timetable can be used by universities, university departments, constituent colleges and other higher education institutions.
It is useful for Vice Chancellors, Registrars, Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments, Timetable Coordinators, Faculty Members and Academic Administrators involved in timetable planning.
How to Create a University Timetable
Step 1: Enter Institution Details
Enter the university or department name, academic session, timetable title and other basic information.
Step 2: Create Courses and Classes
Add programmes, courses, semesters and sections included in the timetable.
You can also assign the regular classroom for each class where required.
Step 3: Add Practical Resources
Create available resources such as LAB1, LAB2, LAB3, Library, Seminar Hall, Auditorium or other facilities used for practical classes and academic activities.
Step 4: Add Subjects
Enter subjects for each programme, semester or class along with Subject Code, Subject Name and weekly Lecture, Tutorial and Practical requirements.
Step 5: Add Faculty
Create Faculty Master with faculty names, designations and applicable availability details.
Step 6: Define Faculty Load
Enter the permitted daily and weekly teaching load for each faculty member.
Step 7: Distribute Subjects
Assign Lecture, Tutorial and Practical components of subjects to the concerned faculty members.
Step 8: Merge Classes or Sections
Use Merge Classes / Sections when students from two classes or sections need to attend a common subject or practical session together.
Step 9: Add Faculty Preferences
Enter faculty preferences such as preferred periods, continuous lectures or minimum gaps where required.
Step 10: Configure University Timings
Select working days, starting time, number of periods, lecture duration, lunch break and other timetable timings.
Step 11: Add Fixed Slots and Activities
Reserve fixed periods for Library, Seminar, Sports, Activity, Practical, Free Period or other university requirements.
Step 12: Generate Timetable
Run the timetable generator after completing the required master data and scheduling settings.
Quick Timetable considers classes, faculty assignments, workload, practical resources, fixed slots, merged classes and scheduling preferences while preparing the timetable.
Step 13: Review Timetable and Summary
Review the generated timetable before final implementation.
You can view All Classes, Selected Classes, Particular Class and Faculty-wise schedules and verify the teaching-load summary.
Step 14: Daily Faculty Adjustment
If one or more faculty members are absent, use Daily Faculty Adjustment to identify affected lectures and arrange suitable available faculty for that day.
Practical and Laboratory Scheduling
Universities often manage several laboratories and shared academic resources. Quick Timetable can use the resources created in Resource Master while scheduling practical classes.
For example, if LAB1, LAB2 and LAB3 are available, the system can allocate available labs while avoiding simultaneous use of the same lab by different independent practical classes.
Multi-Programme Scheduling
Quick Timetable can help manage timetables for multiple undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the same academic setup.
Different programmes, semesters and sections can be managed while considering common faculty members, practical resources and scheduling requirements.
Faculty Workload Management
Faculty Load and Subject Distribution help universities organize teaching responsibilities and verify whether required Lecture, Tutorial and Practical workload has been scheduled properly.
Multiple Timetable Views
The generated timetable can be reviewed in different formats:
